How-to guides¶

Recipes for one task at the console: you know what you want to build, and need the steps. Each guide says what it needs before you start, gives the steps, and ends with a way to check the result. Why you'd build it that way is in the Explanation pages each guide links to.

The guides are drafts until tested on onPC.

General¶

• Make one colour preset work across fixture types: a global preset such as Deep blue, tuned by eye per fixture type, and retuned later.
• Adapt a show to a new venue: live re-patch, focus and colour passes, safety limits, and Partial Show Read when the rig is very different.

Only for rave¶

• Build colour looks for busking: one button per colour combination, colour-only and exclusive, with fades and variations.
• Build a 16-beat rhythm pattern as a chaser: a pattern such as xxxxx--x--x--x-- on one group, on the speed master, looped for the groove or once as a fill into the drop.
